ouchies..

I walked about 2 miles yesterday with two ingrown toenails and let me tell you, I am in pain today. Thing is, I did it voluntarily. I've been trying to lose weight cause I'm apparently 37 lbs over the "ideal" weight, but lets not get into that cause I can go on and on about how there is no "normal" or "ideal" size. Thats topic for another blog. Anyways, I went to the park to walk around the trail and I was happy that I did as much as I did, but now Im hurting. I knew my toes hurt prior, but noooooo I just had to go. Dummy me :\

  3. Oh, man, ingrown toe nails are PAINFUL! I had one taken out years ago and it really sucked, but it sucks even more to try to walk around with one. Take care of it before it gets worse! Oh, and good for you for exercising, just don't make like a goal that you must reach. Just be healthy and the rest will come your way.

  4. Soaking your feet 4 times a day in warm water can help an ingrown toenail, as it can soften the nail so that it becomes less painful. Make sure you keep your toe clean and keep a dressing on it if the skin is broken. The best sort of dressing are non lint ones which will not stick to the skin. This will help reduce the risk of infection, as if it becomes infected you will need to seek the attention of your podiatrist who may be able to offer you anti-biotics to reduce the infection.
